Rodrigo Cifuentes Jr, MD

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, raised in Santiago de Cali, Colombia, I began medical school at the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia and finished my medical degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

After receiving my MD degree, I worked as a general practitioner for one year in Cali, Colombia, focusing on women's health, general surgery and critical care. During that year, I realized my passion for women's health and the art of obstetrics, for which I decided to follow in my father's footsteps and return to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming an Ob/Gyn Specialist. I completed my internship, residency and performed as "Chief of Residents" at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California.

In addition to specializing in women's healthcare, one of my many interests lie in Obstetrics, Minimal Invasive Surgery, Reproductive Medicine, and Endocrinology.

On my free time, I love to spend time with my lovely wife and also involve myself in various martial arts, sports and outdoor activities such as Hapkido, wind surfing, soccer and hiking.
